Christmas…already?! As I defiantly but excitedly come to the realisation that Christmas shopping is just around the corner, I begin to think of all the things that I love about the festive season in London. It’s difficult to describe but the city comes to life over Christmas in a way that you have to experience to believe; the high-streets are buzzing and the atmosphere is unique.
And of course there are the more traditional wonders to London’s Christmas cheer, like the Trafalgar Square Christmas tree, donated to Londoners by the city of Oslo each year since 1947, as a token of gratitude for British support during World War 2.
So, now as always, we welcome our Norwegian friends to join us here in London, the shopping capital of the World and to remember, the single most profound piece of advice we could offer for your visit to our great city is… Whatever happens, don’t forget to claim your VAT back on all your Christmas shopping!
